Top malls change weekend schedule
Shopping malls to change opening hours to fit in with new weekend
Dubai: MAF Shopping Malls yesterday announced its plan to change its weekend schedule from Thursday Friday to Friday Saturday from September 1.
"The change in UAE weekends announced by the government in May is a positive step towards aligning the UAE with international markets," said Graham Dreverman, CEO MAF Shopping Malls.
Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre will stay open for business till midnight on weekends, while Sharjah and Ajman City Centre will continue to trade till 10 pm.
The new timings for Mall of the Emirates and Deira City Centre will be from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm (Sunday to Wednesday) and from 10.00 am to midnight on weekends.
Sharjah and Ajman City Centres will continue to operate from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm.
