Payment Gateway deal signed

The Dubai Economic Develop-ment Department and Emirates Bank International has signed an agreement establishing a Payment Gateway, which will enable the department's clients to pay registration and licensing fees through its website.

The Dubai Economic Develop-ment Department and Emirates Bank International has signed an agreement establishing a Payment Gateway, which will enable the department's clients to pay registration and licensing fees through its website.

The gateway is meant to facilitate payment of fees through the Internet, remove obstacles and save time and effort of the public as part of the e-government scheme in Dubai, said Moha-mmed bin Ali Alabbar, director-general of the department.

Alabbar expressed satisfaction over the service, which guarantees confidentiality and security for payment through the Internet.

Anis Abdullah Al Jallaf, managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of Emirates Bank International, said the bank welcomed providing services to all government departments, to apply the e-government concept.
