Passengers advised to check departure terminal to avoid confusion

Last updated:

Dubai: The Dubai Airports Company on Wednesday informed passengers that flights to the GCC states, Middle East, Africa and the Americas will take off from the new Terminal 3.

Passengers have been advised to check their departure terminal before heading for the Airport as some passengers are apparently going to Terminal 1 instead, from where Emirates flights to Europe and some other destinations are still taking off.

Come in advance

Terminal 3 began operations earlier this month and started its second phase at 2pm on Tuesday, with flights to other Arab Gulf States, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas. "The operations are running very successfully," said a spokesman from the Dubai Airports Company.

The distance between Terminal 1 and 3 is a short ride by car but with Dubai traffic at its peak during most flight times passengers are advised to come to the airport well in advance.

Dubai Airports and Emirates are carrying out the awareness campaign to ensure the comfort and convenience of its customers, said the statement from the Dubai Airports Company.

Thousands of passengers visit Dubai Airport, as Dubai has become a favourite destination to holidaymakers from across the globe.
