On the campaign trail during the Indian elections
To cover an election campaign in India is one of the toughest jobs as a newspaper photographer.
The day long travelling from one village to another trying to catch up with political leaders during campaigning in very harsh weather conditions, without food and water, is no joke.
But the positive side of it is the great picture possibility as every single villager comes out of his/her house to have a glimpse of party leaders.
That's when the pictures happen.
During my eight days of election campaign coverage in Coimbatore, Ooty and interiors of Kerala, I shot these images of ordinary people who made this assignment so special to me.
