Sounds good, but the government should also make sure that they put up no-smoking signs in the places where smoking is restricted before they start penalising the public.

I would be nice if the government can designate areas for smokers even in no-smoking zones. Ever since the ban on smoking I have never stepped into a cafe in a mall. Before that, I used to visit them daily.

This scheme has been tried before but the ban was lifted. I don't think this scheme will work for very long. Obviously, most of the customers in coffee shops and restaurants are smokers.

I appreciate the strict measures taken and hope that the rules are imposed and executed very strictly. I feel this will also give the smokers a reason to try and quit the habit.

This is a really nice decision. It will also save non-smokers from passive smoking. I think this should be considered the first step towards boycotting socially all those who smoke in public places.
