Leave footprints, not your garbage

During the long Eid Al Adha holidays in November, Gulf News reader Rakesh Pardasani said, he "found peace at Kalba, Sharjah, on a beautiful beach". However, the community reporter was disappointed to see garbage littering the seashore.

He wrote: "Unfortunately... people were not really considerate enough and had left their garbage on the beach. This included plastic bags and plastic bottles." He added that his brother later organised the trash on the beach, to make it easier for municipality cleaners.
