KIMS to set up Dh30m hospital in Dubai

Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is finalising plans to set up a 100-bedded multi-speciality hospital in Dubai in joint venture with a local firm at a cost of around Dh30 million.

Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is finalising plans to set up a 100-bedded multi-speciality hospital in Dubai in joint venture with a local firm at a cost of around Dh30 million.

According to chairman and managing director of KIMS, Dr M.I. Sahadulla, the hospital will be ready within a year.

KIMS already runs a 270-bedded super speciality hospital in Thiruvananthapuram - the capital of Indian state, Kerala.

Sahadulla said KIMS has already tied up with major hospitals in the UAE to help refer their patients to the Kerala hospital for speciality treatments.

Dr M.A. Mohammed, resident director of KIMS,expressed hope that the new hospital could offer speciality treatment to Indian workers in the UAE at affordable cost.
