Transitional Media: The Need for Development to be discussed at the forum
Dubai: The Arab Media Forum (AMF) organising committee has announced the details of a key session of 12th Arab Media Forum, which will run from May 14 to May 15.
The session titled Transitional Media: The Need for Development will reflect the theme of 12th Arab Media Forum, and shed light on opportunities to develop the media landscape from the viewpoint of experts who play a vital part in this advancement.
The forum is held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The session will also examine the changes in the media landscape due to the social and political revolutions in some Arab countries.
It will be moderated by Tawfiq Mjaied, Anchor at France 24, and the panellist are Dr Khalid Al Firm, professor of Political Media at Imam University KSA; Kamel Labidi,pPresident of the National Commission to Reform Information and Communication (INRIC) of Tunisia; Hamlinha Baraasi, writer and media personality from Libya; Yasser Abd Al Aziz, consultant and media expert from Egypt; Rakan Al Majali, former minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications from Jordan.
