Abu Dhabi’s health care sector may grow to Dh12b this year

Demand for services relating to diabetes, heart disease and cancer to grow

Abu Dhabi: Investment in Abu Dhabi’s health care sector is expected to grow to more than Dh12 billion this year, the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) announced in a statement on Sunday.

Aggressive growth in demand is expected in services relating to diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer, with larger volume increases in outpatient settings.

The statistics were revealed ahead of Arab Health 2013, at which the HAAD will showcase investment opportunities and health care trends in Abu Dhabi.
