Sultan meets Mubarak on private visit

Cairo: Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, at the Egyptian presidential headquarters yesterday.

The Sharjah Ruler is in Egypt on a private visit, during which he will be honoured as part of the events marking the centenary celebrations of the University of Cairo.

During the meeting, the leaders reviewed the historical and brotherly relations binding the UAE and Egypt, and explored avenues of cooperation.

Shaikh Sultan conveyed to the Egyptian leader, greetings from President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
