Shaikh Zayed Charity signs MoU

Abu Dhabi: The Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Make-a-Wish Foundation, pertaining to cooperation and exchange of expertise.

Ahmad Shabib Al Daheri, Director-General of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, stated that the foundation aims to strengthen ties of cooperation and information exchange with all social foundations in the UAE in order to achieve its goals of providing financial and moral support to all segments of society in need.

The Foundation’s efforts come under the directives of Shaikh Nahyan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and Shaikh Omar Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

Noor Fahim Al Qasimi, member of the Board of Directors of Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, signed the MoU, stating that the goal is to provide assistance and answers to the humanitarian needs of the respective segments of society, both in the UAE and abroad, and the foundation strives to offer all possible aid to social foundations, spreading hope among these families and helping them achieve their dreams.

The MoU stipulates exchange of expertise in strategic planning, developing programmes and projects, offering a range of available services, assisting both parties’ growth through cooperation on an electronic level through their respective websites in which either foundation will refer through links to the other’s website and services.

The MoU also stipulates exchange of publications, making them available for both parties’ researchers and interested individuals, the exchange of aid within the framework of strategic planning and development, joint organisation of events that spread awareness and empower humanitarian understanding and social values, and media cooperation in all fields of humanitarian specialisation.
