UAE Vice President and Indian Prime Minister explore ways to enhance relations

New Delhi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai met Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India on Thursday at the premier's office in New Delhi.

Shaikh Mohammad and his host discussed a number of economic, political, regional and international issues and the best ways to enhance peace and stability, especially in flashpoint areas around the globe.

The discussions between Shaikh Mohammad and Singh also touched upon work mechanisms to expand the fields of cooperation between the UAE and India in economic, cultural and other areas to crown the friendly, neighbourly and historical ties that bind the two countries and their people.

Singh welcomed Shaikh Mohammad in India and described his visit as an extension to the continued visits between officials of the two countries, which boost and strengthen the good relations between UAE and India.
