Hamdan applauds UAE media's role
Stressed the importance of the media's role in the development of the country
Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, stressed the importance of the media's role in the development of the country.
Shaikh Hamdan made the statement on Sunday as he received the media team of Nations news on Abu Dhabi Television.
Great interest
The meeting came as part of Shaikh Hamdan's great interest in communicating with everyone and his awareness of the value of the media.
"In a short time since its launch, the Nations news on Abu Dhabi television has become a programme that we are proud of.
"It has also outdone itself even further by covering issues related to expatriates living in the UAE.
"It has witnessed an unprecedented reaction from prominent officials and it has gained viewers from other Gulf countries as well," he added.
Shaikh Hamdan also praised the positive role played by the media in stimulating development in different areas of the UAE in accordance with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
