FNC clears research law draft

Abu Dhabi: Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for FNC, on Wednesday praised the cooperation between legislative and executive institutions in the country.

He was speaking at the 14th session of the Federal National Council (FNC).

Dr Gargash also praised the willingness of all parties to see the interests of the nation as a priority.

He reiterated the government's stance on the importance of the participation of all ministers at FNC sessions, where they can respond to important questions brought up by FNC members and discuss critical issues that concern the people of the UAE.

At its 14th session, the FNC discussed a draft law on the licensing of fertility centres in the UAE.

The FNC approved a federal draft law on the National Centre for Research and Documentation and discussed modifying clauses in Federal Law No. 3 of 1983 on judicial authority.

Dr Gargash pointed out that FNC members have shown they were committed to constitutional principles when they were discussing critical issues.

Dr Gargash emphasised the FNC's right to discuss public issues, including education, healthcare, investment and other matters that influence Emirati society. He said the government works side-by-side with the FNC. He added that the government is discussing the issues of inflation and its policy relating to the media.
