Dubai: Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, on Monday opened the 37th International Federation of Training and Development Organisations World Conference and Exhibition at the Dubai International Convention Centre.

The four-day event is being held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Shaikh Maktoum launched the new logo of the e-university of Dubai which is the first phase of launching the university.

The conference, held under the banner of Knowledge and Human Resources Development, is attended by 1,300 participants representing 30 countries from around the world.

The conference is aimed at educating HR development managers, trainers, facilitators, business professionals and educators in the latest trends and knowledge available in the field of Human Resource Development. It will provide a forum for discussion and sharing of ideas.

Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Dubai Police Chief, thanked Shaikh Maktoum for honouring the opening of the conference.

In a key speech, Lt Gen Dahi welcomed the participants at the conference, which deals with the most important aspects of economy, sustainable development and developing human resources, to upgrade their capabilities on the grounds of modern scientific methods and benefitting from advanced technology.

Shaikh Maktoum launched the new logo of the e-university of Dubai.
