Focus on ancient civilisations during Dubai event

Abu Dhabi: Eight of the world's outstanding experts in history, archaeology, astronomy, anthropology and geology will gather in Dubai later this month to talk about the mysteries of ancient civilisations, an organiser said.

"We are bringing top quality experts to talk about subjects that in fact should interest us all. Our past as the human race, with all its mysteries and lost knowledge, can teach us a great deal about our future as well," said Dr Mohammad Naeemat, Chairman of Adbox Events, the organisers of the conference.

He added that there will also be an announcement of some major discoveries made in 2007 and 2008 as a World Premiere in the International Conference for Ancient Studies.

"Dubai should have a firm grasp of the history of the great civilisations of the past. We can learn from their mistakes and experiences," Dr Naeemat added.

The speakers are all prominent international authorities in their respective subjects and are involved in several continuous research projects happening at the moment.
