Family killed in accident had good time in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: The three-member family who died in the horrific accident in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday had a very good time in Abu Dhabi during the past two years as both husband and wife had close family members in the city.

Shaniba was very happy to join her husband, Naushad in Abu Dhabi two years ago as her own family was in the city, apart from her husband's brothers.

Although her parents and siblings were in Abu Dhabi, she had been studying back home and she stayed at husband's home after marriage, family members told Gulf News. Their daughter Nashwah enjoyed the presence of her relatives here.

Naushad was a safe driver, said Rasheed, a family friend. He came to Abu Dhabi about 6 years ago. Naushad's brother, Nasser who also works as a pharmacist here, had accompanied them but he returned earlier by another car, said Bakr, a family friend.

Shaniba's father Abdul Gafoor and mother Suleikha were not in a position to speak when Gulf News visited their home. Abdul Gafoor, hailing from Thrissur district in Kerala has been working in Abu Dhabi for about 20 years.

The parents and Shaniba's twin sisters who are studying in Abu Dhabi left for Kerala last night. The bodies will be repatriated today to Kerala for burial.
