Abu Dhabi: Eleven Emirati trainees have enrolled themselves in the UAE's first Judicial Academy in efforts to enhance the development of the current Judicial Department in Abu Dhabi, Gulf News has learnt.
The Academy for Judicial Studies and Specialised Training was developed through a recent partnership between the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department and Zayed University (ZU) in an effort to train new Emirati judges and prosecutors.
Senior officials said that the trainees will be taking part in a combination of theoretical and analytical legal work through intensive legal training workshops, lively discussions and training sessions about the world of law.
Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of Zayed University visited the academy yesterday.
The objective of the training is to ensure a stronger professional capacity in the judicial department and to pace with rapid growth in the world.
