Dubai gears up for Terry Fox Run

Dubai: The 2008 Dubai Terry Fox Run (DTFR), one of the largest charity events to raise money for cancer research, is scheduled to take place on Friday, 15th February, at Mamzar Park.

Participants can walk, run, cycle, skate or rollerblade the 8.4km distance.

The run has once again become the official Dubai Shopping Festival event.

"We are delighted and highly appreciative of the fact that the DSF Office has granted us this official status," said DTFR Chairperson, Judy Rickatson.

"There is no minimum registration fee charged to participate in the event. Simply show up on the run day and complete a donation form. School and corporate participation is welcome. Simply go to www.dubaiterryfoxrun.com for more information," added Rickatson.
