Household and gift items go on sale on December 4

The Dubai International Women's Club (DIWC) will have its annual Charity Bazaar on December 4 at the Dusit Dubai Hotel, from 10am to 2.30pm. The bazaar, a club tradition dating to decades, will feature stalls selling household and gift items. Those who would like to book tables should contact the club by December 1.

The items on sale will reflect the multicultural nature of the DIWC that boasts members from over 30 different nationalities.

On display will be handicrafts from different countries, handmade decorative household items, home baked cakes and other food items, books, greeting cards, silver and bead jewellery, candles, carved wooden artefacts and other goods.

Besides discounted tables for organisations like K9 Friends and Feline Friends, several tables have been offered free to charitable organisations for the sale of their promotional items to raise funds.

These organisations include The Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre, The Dubai Women's Club, Dubai Center for Special Needs,

The Al Noor Training Centre for Children with Special Needs, the Lebanese Children's Fund, the Pakistan-based Family Educational Services Foundation and The Centre for Palestinian Culture, which will display hand-embroidered clothes and bags made by needy Palestinian women.

As usual, the DIWC's White Elephant stall will feature a variety of items donated by members.
This year, proceeds from this stall will be donated to the Dubai Autistic Centre.
