Dairy and Juice Producers' Group not to raise prices
Dubai: The Dairy and Juice Producers' Group has announced that it would not increase milk and juice prices, a statement from the group said yesterday.
The statement said the decision to increase the prices of milk and juice products is not the group's business but is decided by each company's board of directors. Each company has the option whether or not to increase its products prices according to the increase in commercial and raw material costs and in compliance with UAE laws and regulations, the statement said.
Vegetables: Traders told to use refrigerated vehicles
Ras Al Khaimah: The municipality here issued a circular yesterday officially ordering the fruits and vegetables companies and traders to use refrigerated vehicles to transport these products. "Concerned traders and companies are given a month's grace period to get equipped with refrigerated vehicles for fruits and vegetables," said Mubarak Ali Al Shamsi, the Director General of the Municipality. He added that the vehicles which lack the necessary requirements will be seized by the municipal inspectors who have already been given strict instructions to follow up compliance of the fruits and vegetables traders and companies.
