Supervisor jailed for putting spy camera in Dubai washroom

Dubai: A supervisor has been jailed for fixing a camera in the female washroom of the Environment Ministry, although he pleaded innocence and his lawyer claimed he is 'mentally unstable'.

The Dubai Court of First Instance sentenced 28-year-old Emirati supervisor, A.K., to three years in jail. Presiding Judge Saeed Salem Bin Sarm also ordered that the snapshots be deleted.

The accused denied sexually harassing and breaching the privacy of women by fixing wireless video-cam in the women's washrooms, as charged by the Public Prosecution.

"My client suffers from a mental disorder and is not responsible for his actions. He is being treated for more than five years," his lawyer argued before the court.
