Abu Dhabi courts will soon start functioning in the evenings

Last updated:

Abu Dhabi: The Department of Judiciary in Abu Dhabi has announced that from Monday, June 16, Abu Dhabi courts will function in the evenings too.

The first phase of this programme will include civil and commercial courts of first instance. The various departments of these courts will also function between 6pm and 9pm daily.

Sultan Saeed Al Badi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judiciary, said the idea to work in the evening was in line with the directives of Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judiciary Department. The move is aimed at speeding up cases and to ensure that justice is better served.
