Osama Bin Laden criticises Nasrallah and vows to expand Jihad

Last updated:

Al Qaida leader Osama bin Laden has criticized Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and vowed to expand his jihad to liberate all of Palestine.

His latest audio message also accused the US of planning to take control of Iraq's oil supply.

The recording, which was posted on an Islamist website, saw bin Laden criticize Nasrallah for accepting a United Nations peacekeeping force into the south of Lebanon following the war with Israel in 2006.

He said that the troops were there to "protect the Jews".

Turning his attention to Palestine, he said that Al Qaida would never recognize Israel, before adding:

"I assure our kin in Palestine especially that we shall expand our jihad.''

Bin Laden also said the Iraqi government was meant to help the US dominate the region and warned that those who joined a new unity government were “turning their backs on Islam.''
