Ajman Summer Activities a big hit

'Ajman Summer Activities' is shaping up as a big success with a large number of people are visiting various sites and a number of students are logging on to its special website.

The six-week event, started on June 28, was marked with the launch of this website.

The website was created to promote the event and its activities in Ajman and the other emirates. It provides people with details about the activities, including major locations.

Jamal Al Saeedi, head of the organising committee, said: "The website has made students interested to know more about the activities involved."

He said the first ever English website in Ajman includes details about the programmes of the activities, sites, raffle draws and how to take part in them.

It is also linked with different websites of the sponsors.

The website is designed to promote tourism in the emirate by giving details about history, archaeological sites and places to visit or stay in Ajman.

The four locations hosting the activities are Al Ershad Association, Ajman Equestrian Club, Ajman Club, Al Ershad Cultural Institute and Ajman Beaches, he said.

"The four major locations involving education, sports and entertainment activities are expected to keep the emirate more active throughout this summer. Shopping centres, outlets and hotels are now being crowded by the participants."
