Abu Dhabi: Gourmet Abu Dhabi will be returning after its debut last year with a wide selection of culinary events from February 5 - 19, 2010.

Presented by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), this year's line-up includes an additional five days. There are masterclasses by internationally renowned master chefs, 10 of whom have Michelin stars, which are free and open to the public, with women-only classes being introduced this year, chateau dinners, a celebrity evening, gourmet safari, royal dinner, chocolate and pastry workshops, and gourmet barbecue being held.

Avant-garde Canadian chef Bob Blumer, who has a television show ‘The Surreal Gourmet', will be headlining a one-night only event. Blumer is renowned for being able to transform common ingredients into inspiring dishes through whimsical presentation.

The Gourmet Abu Dhabi 2010 programme will also include an industry forum, which include workshops that will help international industry experts and their local and regional counterparts interact and communicate on trends and issues in the culinary industry.

The Abu Dhabi Gourmet Stars Awards also returns this year in an extended format. It is open for public voting until the end of December.

Results of the public voting for the 2010 edition will be evaluated early in the New Year with the top three nominees from all 10 categories being assessed by a panel of UAE and international industry judges. The awards will be presented at a the Gourmet Abu Dhabi Gala Dinner which will be held on February 15.
