Dubai: Swedish golfer Jessica Karlsson shot a career best nine-under par 63 to lead after round one of the €300,000 AMUNDI German Masters at Golf & Country Club Seddiner See, Germany, on the Ladies European Tour.

The 29-year-old, 165th in the Race to Costa Del Sol, is looking for her first win on Tour and managed nine birdies and nine pars over the 6,515 yards par 72 course, her best score on Tour by two shots.

Dubai-based Kristyna Napoleaova (Czech Republic), who is currently 33rd in the LET’s Race to Costa Del Sol Order of Merit and fourth in the LET Rookie of the Year Rankings, shot a disappointing three-over par 75 to lie in 99th place.

Kristyna stands 11th in the LET Money List from her 10 events with €78,131.00 and fourth in the LET Rookie of the Year Table. This is mainly due to her tied second performance in the Saudi Ladies International back in March.

Three sixes in her first 10 holes, saw Kristyna struggling from the off, but battled hard to finish one under for her last eight holes.

Kristyna will need a strong second round tomorrow (Friday) to make the cut in this four-round event.

126 players are in the field with 59 under par in round one.
