Canadian Adam Svensson broke through for his first PGA Tour victory at The RSM Classic on Sunday. He posted 19-under 263 at Sea Island Resort in Saint Simons Island, Georgia.
Svensson moves to No. 6 on the season-long FedExCup standings and earns his first trip to the Sentry Tournament of Champions, PLAYERS and Masters.
‘It’s been a dream of mine since I was 10 years old, 8 years old,’ said a grateful Svensson on Sunday evening in the Golden Isles. ‘I don’t think money really does anything. It’s the feeling of coming down the stretch and winning … you just can’t beat it.’ As the PGA Tour breaks for the holiday season.
Finishing two shots back in a tie for second was Brian Harman, Callum Tarren and Sahith Theegala. All each picking up a healthy pay check of over $600,000.
