Lady's Day set for visit from Meyer

Dubai: A full field of 104 players will compete today at the Arabian Ranches Golf Club in the Lady Captain's Day sponsored by Liali Jewellery.

Lady Captain Sheila Alban has selected a 4 player team scramble as the format in addition to the golf course set up which will tee off with a 1.30 pm shotgun start.

26 four-player teams will compete with the added attraction of ARGC Lady Professional Sandy Meyer who will be joining every team on the 2nd hole and contributing a professional's tee shot - with all charity proceeds donated to Al Noor.

Professional Elliott Gray commented at the draw announcement, "Sheila has rightly got the support she deserves for her Lady Captain's Day.

"We have also invited a number of fellow Lady Captains from other Golf Clubs in the UAE to add some tradition to Sheila's day.

"We will also have the traditional Lady Captain Drive in at 1.10 pm from the first tee which everyone is looking forward to with the exception of Sheila!

"We especially thank Liali Jewellery for their generous sponsorship of this event that has added some significant add-on value to what we are hopeful of being a very unique day at Arabian Ranches Golf Club."

Lady Captain Sheila Alban (20) will tee off from the 1st tee alongside Mike Murray (4), Vice Captain Bob Fletcher (6) and Emirates Golf Club Lady Captain Rekha Bandopadyay.
