High quality field all set for battle

Dubai: The 2008 Emirates amateur open has attracted the highest quality field in its history with the handicap ballot coming at five.

The 129 international field has attracted players from all around the world as the event grows in stature on the international golf scene.

With the course in pristine condition following Tiger Woods dramatic final hole victory on The Majlis course last week, all players are in for a tough test.

Champion

The event voted best Amateur event by Middle East Golfer magazine will again not disappoint all who play in it.

The course will play its full 7,300 yards and will produce a winner of the highest quality.

Defending champion Scott Nightingale returns to the scene of his triumph last year to compete against a quality field with no less than 13 players on +1 handicap or better.
