Azoulay pockets another Rivoli medal
Says rivalry with Mills has only helped keep his game sharp
Dubai: Tony Azoulay (3) returned a gross two-over-par 74 to win the December Rivoli Monthly Medal supported by Marble Renewal of UAE.
It was the second Rivoli Monthly Medal for Azoulay since October. He posted nines of 38 and 36 and posted birdies at the 13th, 14th and 15th holes.
"I'm glad to be in good form going into our Scratch Matchplay against the Els Club Tomorrow," he said after the round. "The last three events have been great; it's been between me and John Mills every time and it's a great rivalry to have, I hope we can keep it going, it keeps my game sharp."
Azoulay didn't have it all his own way, he was closely challenged by last month's winner John Mills (0) who took the runners-up spot for the second time in the last three events with a gross 75.
Experience edged out youth in the ladies division with Adrienne Fullerton (12) winning the Net prize by one shot from junior member Kavita Sehmi (22).
Fullerton posted a net 73. Adele McKelvey (4) won the ladies gross prize with 80, continuing her dominance of the ladies division.
