Sees assistance for swing bowlers in Bengaluru

Bengaluru Shane Watson continued his fabulous tour of India, getting Australia off to an excellent start yet again and then sounded confident about his side's chances of victory in the second Test match.
"We feel we have got a good start. Majority of our batters have done well. It is a turning wicket, so it is important to score as much runs as possible," said the opener who had cracked a century in the Mohali Test.
Watson had hoped captain Ricky Ponting, who got out for 77, would score a century. "It is disappointing he got out without scoring a century. He should have gone on and hit a big score. We still need some good partnerships to get a good total. We will then try and get the Indian top order out quickly," he said.
Though the wicket is taking early turn, Watson feels that the ball will also swing. "Right now the wicket is a good one, especially considering the conditions in India. It might help the conventional swing and our bowlers will use it to get the Indians out."
Talking about his splendid form, he said: "It is great to be come here and get some runs. It is very important for me, especially in light of the World Cup set to begin in similar conditions soon."
No room for error
Asked if V.V.S. Laxman's absence was a relief, he replied, "Laxman batted well in the second innings at Mohali — as well as he bats against us. However, with the new guys coming in and scoring profusely we will have to wait and see how they perform. This is a wicket which does not give any chance for errors."
