Abu Dhabi: India's legendary painter M.F. Hussain , who had kept all at supense whether he has coming here or not, finally did so and was busy at work, capturing the Zayed Cricket Stadium and its atmosphere on canvas during the second one-dayer of the DLF Cup between India and Pakistan yesterday.

There was speculation that he would not finally make it to mark the grand occasion. However, Hussain, who was busy with his work in Dubai, found time to sketch the Zayed Stadium.

"I was a bit busy, but finally found time to come and watch the match in one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world," said the barefooted artist.

Hussain has been involved with cricket over the past year and has visited grounds like Karachi and even plans an exhibition on cricket in Dubai.

"I have visited a number of places and each ground has an unique sound and this one has its own too. I am enjoying every bit of it," he added.

On his favourite cricketer, he said: "Cricket is a game of chance. One person performs well one day, while the other does a good job on another day. I like the game in all," he said.

Hussain also felt that the India and Pakistan teams had been the dominating forces in world cricket. "Millions people watch these games," he said.
