Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wedneday held talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on regional and international issues of mutual interest as well as ways to enhance bilateral ties.

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed Khan’s visit to the UAE and expressed hope that the visit would give a strong boost to UAE-Pakistan relations and take them to greater heights.

He congratulated Khan on taking office as the new Prime Minister of Pakistan and wished him success in discharging his assignments.

The two leaders explored avenues of cooperation and ways to develop bilateral relations in various spheres and realise the aspirations of both nations and peoples. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments and exchanged views about topics of mutual concern.

 

Shaikh Mohammad reaffirmed the strong relations and durability of cooperation with Pakistan,  looking to develop these relations at different levels for the good and benefit of the two countries and their people.

Khan expressed his delight over visiting the UAE and wished it greater progress and prosperity. He emphasised his country’s keenness to strengthen its ties of friendship and cooperation with the UAE in the best interests of their peoples.

Shaikh Mohammad and Khan stressed their eagerness to strengthen cooperation and coordination in all areas that contribute to enhancing bilateral relationships and partnerships that serve development, progress and prosperity in both countries.

 

 

Earlier, Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed received Pakistan Prime Minister upon his arrival at the Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi.

Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and other Shaikhs and senior officials were present.

Imran Khan is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes a number of Pakistani ministers.
