Dubai: Residents across the UAE will be able to enjoy pleasant weather during the next few days as weather forecasters predict a slight drop in temperature.

In its five-day weather forecast, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said there will be “a drop in temperature” by Tuesday, “with clouds appearing eastwards and light winds”.

Over the next few days, the level of humidity will drop and maximum temperatures will reach an average range of 40C - 45C.

Southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow at a speed of 18-28 km/h, reaching up to 35 km/h at times.

The waves in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea will be rough in the morning but will eventually calm down to moderate by the afternoon.

On Monday, the NCM said that the weather is expected to reach 37C - 43C in coastal areas, 39C - 47C in internal areas and 31C - 39C in the mountain region. Meanwhile, the range of humidity levels will reach a maximum of 60 - 90 per cent in coastal areas, 55 - 85 per cent in internal areas and 30 - 60 per cent in the mountain region.

The improvement in the weather is expected to continue until Thursday, according to the NCM, before rising again on Friday.

“The temperature will tend to increase by Friday, accompanied with humidity and a probability of fog and mist forming in the early morning,” said the NCM.
