Fancy a selfie with a baby croc? You can do for a fee.

Visitors to Emirates Park Zoo and Resort will get a chance to feed crocodiles as part of an educational programme.

Launched as the park’s newest animal encounter, visitors will experience firsthand how crocodiles at the park are fed from an elevated enclosed private area to ensure their utmost safety.

During the feeding time, zookeepers are on hand to answer questions and share information about the magnificent Nile creatures’ habitats, natural behaviours and the dangers they face in the wildlife.

What’s more, brave patrons will be given the chance to hold a baby croc and take photos.

“We are inviting all reptile lovers to visit the zoo and experience an adrenaline-fuelled encounter with the great river species,” said Naima Mahmoudi, Marketing Manager of Emirates Park Zoo.

“Emirates Park Zoo and Resort is not only about viewing and visiting the animals, but to also interact, pet and feed the beautiful wildlife creatures with the assistance of our enthusiastic animal care specialists. We want to create a space for animals and our guests to enjoy in comfortably to learn and fully appreciate our environment,” she added.

The programme is scheduled every Friday and Saturday from 5pm onwards and will be able to accommodate four guests at a time. Tickets are priced at Dh75 per person.
