Dubai: Subway in the UAE announced donating Dh50,000 to Dubai Cares this Ramadan to help provide education to children.

Dubai Cares, the UAE-based global philanthropic organisation, provides children in developing countries — regardless of their gender, nationality, race or religion — the opportunity to access quality education.

The charity has launched successful education programmes in 53 developing countries and improved the lives of 18 million beneficiaries.

“We at Subway cherish the strong ties we have in the region. We are proud to partner with Dubai Cares for the holy month of Ramadan to ensure all children have access to quality education. We share Dubai Cares’ philosophy that education is one of the most effective tools for breaking the cycle of poverty,” said Nasir Zaman, regional director, Subway Middle East and Africa.

“Since opening the first Subway restaurant in the UAE in 1998, we have strived to give back to the communities we serve. Partnering with Dubai Cares allows us to make a positive impact in those communities,” said Zaman.
