Ajman: His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, officially inaugurated Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital and Thumbay Dental Hospital on Tuesday in Ajman.
The opening was held in the presence of Dr Thumbay Moideen, founder president, Thumbay Group.
The rehabilitation hospital features facilities for physical therapy such as a hydrotherapy pool and a cryotherapy chamber, among other amenities. The dental hospital has 60 dental chairs spread across three floors. It will also train students of undergraduate and proposed postgraduate courses of the College of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University (GMU).
Thumbay Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Hospital operates in collaboration with internationally renowned Villa Beretta Rehabilitation Centre, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Valduce Hospital, Italy.
Spread over three floors, the hospital features cutting-edge amenities such as artificial intelligence, hydrotherapy pool, robotics and a unique cryotherapy chamber for physical therapy. An interesting component of the inpatient facility at the hospital includes the ‘Therapeutic Garden’, an innovative approach to rehabilitation intended to offer patients a positive experience during their recovery. It is attached to Thumbay University Hospital Complex, having 50 dedicated beds especially for rehab. The outpatient department of the hospital offers neurocognitive rehabilitation, sports medicine and orthopaedic medicine.
Thumbay Dental Hospital has a built-up area of 37,000 sq ft. across three floors for high-quality dental services.
