Al Ain: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday attended the graduation ceremony of the 42nd batch at the Zayed II Military College in Al Ain.

The ceremony began upon Shaikh Mohammad’s arrival at the college’s headquarters. After the UAE national anthem was played, Shaikh Mohammed inspected the graduates’ parade. Graduating cadet officers then took an oath before Shaikh Mohammad.

Shaikh Mohammed presented the top six cadet officer graduates with appreciation awards, congratulating them and wishing them success in serving their country and people.


Shaikh Mohammad called on the graduates to cling to noble Arab and Islamic values, be courageous and self-confident, as well as proud to belong to the UAE. He wished the them success in their endeavours to serve and protect the nation

The graduation ceremony was attended by Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region, Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Mohammad Ahmad Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Lieutenant General Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces, and a number of Shaikhs and senior officials.

Later, Shaikh Mohammad received Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited to the UAE, military attaches in embassies of brotherly and friendly countries, and senior officers of the armed forces. The guests praised the scientific, military and physical skills and abilities of the graduates of Zayed Military College, which they described as a global college, and is now comparable to many military colleges in various countries of the world.

They congratulated Shaikh Mohammad on the graduation of a new batch of officers, and praised the capabilities, military skills and fitness of the graduates.
