TAIZ, Yemen: The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has extended its humanitarian aid efforts in Yemen by providing a psychiatric hospital in Taiz with an inpatient unit equipped with 30 hospital beds and a 6-month supply of food for the hospital’s patients.
Ihab Al Dahbali, ERC representative in Taiz, said that the latest move is part of the organisation’s urgent response to support the mentally ill, as part of the ‘Year of Zayed’.
For her part, Hospital Director Iftikhar Abdullah expressed her appreciation to the ERC for its prompt response in meeting the hospital’s needs.
