UAE troops wounded in Yemen assured full support

Berlin: Shaikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, has visited UAE Armed Forces’ personnel who were wounded while taking part in the Saudi-led Arab Coalition’s Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen and are receiving treatment in German hospitals.

Shaikh Hamed visited wounded soldiers at Vivantes, Godeshohe and BGU Murnau hospitals in Berlin, Bonn and Munich respectively.

During his meeting with the soldiers and their families, Shaikh Hamed was reassured about their health conditions. He also met with the medical staff supervising treatment and rehabilitation plans and was briefed on the nature of the injuries of the soldiers.

Shaikh Hamed conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the wounded soldiers and their families, wishing them health, wellness and a speedy recovery.

During cordial talks with the UAE Armed Forces heroes, Shaikh Hamed also hailed their service in Yemen. He was also briefed about humanitarian and military operations undertaken by UAE forces in Yemen.

The wounded soldiers expressed pride in the wise leadership of Shaikh Khalifa and hailed the solidarity shown by the UAE government and people with them, stressing their strong resolve and determination to implement their humanitarian and military tasks and duties in Yemen.

Shaikh Hamed was accompanied by Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE’s Ambassador to Germany, and other officials.
