Dubai: Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, in collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH) and Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) has approved precautionary measures that need to be followed for Eid Al Adha sacrifices.

Order through apps

Sacrificial services must be requested with organisations within the country. This can be done via the following apps, which have been approved by the Department of Municipalities and Transport:

• Zabehaty

• Zabayeh Al Jazeera

• Dhabayeh UAE

Order only through approved abattoirs

Sacrifice rituals must take place in approved abattoirs that ensure adherence to precautionary measures, and that provide drive-through services to customers.

Don’t hire butchers who come home

In the guidelines, ADPHC stated: “It is prohibited to procure the services of itinerant butchers who offer at-home services.”

This is to ensure public health and safety guidelines are followed at all times.

Distributing meat

Distributions to friends and relatives should be done with the highest degree of caution and follow all preventive measures to control the spread of COVID-19.
