Abandoned trolleys in parking lots damage cars
A weekend shopping spree with one's family and friends may be the most awaited leisure time for many residents. Although the prices of commodities keep fluctuating, weekend shopping is still arguably an enjoyable chore.
An indispensable requirement for shopping - apart from a thick wallet - is the shopping trolley. Yet, it is a source of much woe for many new car-owners.
When shoppers visit the hypermarket or supermarket, they park their cars in the allotted spaces with the hope that they will find their vehicles in the same condition they had left it.
However, often such hopes have been shattered by a few careless shoppers who fail to use their shopping trolleys properly. After loading their bags in their cars, many of them just push away their trolleys, which rattle along aimlessly, without bothering about the damage they could cause to the cars parked nearby.
Imagine the plight of shoppers who, after an expensive shopping trip, return to discover that their cars have been "decorated" with long scratches and deep dents!
Though it is done unintentionally, such an act could be termed another form of vandalism. Obviously, it is impractical for the authorities to spend their valuable time curbing this simple problem. Hence, the solution lies within these negligent shoppers themselves.
A viable option is to either deposit the trolleys in their designated areas - available in most parking lots - or leave them behind in a corner of the parking lot itself. However, care should be taken to ensure that the trolleys do not collide with nearby vehicles.
Shopping should be a pleasurable rather than a disheartening experience!
