Dubai: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan won many hearts on twitter after he responded to a tweet by Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai.
The 21-year-old had tagged Khan in a retweet, with the text “Still waiting!!!!”, wherein British journalist Alan Rusbridger asked the Bollywood actor to attend a talk at the UK-based University of Oxford.
Through his official twitter account, @arusbridger, Rusbridger had posted in 2016: “Can we tempt you to Oxford University to talk to our students at @lmhoxford? They love you (I’m the principal).”
Within 40 minutes of Yousafzai’s query, Khan responded on his twitter account @iamsrk: “Most certainly would love to do it and meeting you will be a privilege. Will put my team to schedule it sooner than soon.”
The tweet already has around 4,000 retweets and more than 22,000 likes.
Khan’s fans expressed their excitement on this exchange and look forward to hearing another talk by him. He has previously given lectures at the UK-based University of Edinburgh, US-based Harvard University and US-based Yale University, among others.
Tweep @JacyKhan tweeted to Khan and wrote: “Masha Allah. Finally the invitation reached you. Pleasure must be all theirs, it would be extremely prestigious for them actually. Such a happy news. Cannot wait for it now.”
@rshah2611 tweeted: “I’m so happy that you saw this tweet immediately. Wow, soon we can expect you at the Oxford University for a lecture. This can be a big thing for all of us to see you there!”

Many of his fans praised Yousafzai for reminding the actor of this opportunity and are now looking forward to the two personalities potentially meeting at the university.
