  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch chilli powder
  • 1 piece hammour fillet, halved
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 80g flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1 potato, thinly sliced and roasted
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • 1 lemon slice
  • 2 sprigs parsley, chopped, to garnish
  • For the dressing mix together:

  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic purée
  • Salt and pepper


  1. Mix lemon juice, egg, chilli powder, salt and pepper. Coat fish with mixture and set aside for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan. Coat fish with flour and fry on both sides until golden brown. Remove and place on a warm plate.
  3. Top fish with potato, capers and lemon. Drizzle dressing over and serve immediately.
