It’s all about Paris Haute Couture Week from July 4 to 7 as the the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode returns with the spring-summer 2023 show. The world’s most iconic fashion labels are on hand to show off their latest wares, such as Chanel, Dior, Armani and Jean Paul Gaultier, but there is also plenty of local and regional talent in Paris this week to look forward to.

On opening day, there are no less than three designers making the cut. First on the list is Georges Hobeika - the brand’s story began back in 1995 with the first show in Beirut, and since then Maison Georges Hobeika has been active in Paris for every Haute Couture Fashion Week so far. The Lebanese designer’s portfolio includes Haute Couture, bridal wear and ready-to-wear collections.

Next up is Rahul Mishra, with the accolade of being the first Indian designers to showcase at the Paris Haute Couture Week, who will be premiering his label’s bright and colourful collection inspired by traditional Indian crafts.

There is also Maison Rabih Kayrouz to look forward to who will be presenting his subdued and classical collection in a digital show format in the evening.

On day three, two more regional labels will be presented in Paris for Haute Couture Week. First up is Elie Saab, a veteran of the fashion world who founded his eponymous label when he was just 18 years old way back in 1982. As a major player with ateliers in both Paris and Beirut, Elie Saab has been expanding into the ready-to-wear, bridal, accessories, eyewear and fragrance categories.

The final regional representative in Paris is Zuhair Murad, established in 1997 in Beirut and Paris as a brand renowned for some highly sophisticated and glamorous high-fashion pieces, with retailers and distributors all over the world. Fusing heritage with a modern twist, Zuhair Murad will especially be one label to look out for in Paris this week.
