TV actress-turned-pop singer Komal Rizvi, best remembered for her Bhangra rap number Bao Ji, is all set to make a musical comeback with Chitta Chola, a “wedding mash-up” of old film classics such as Main Nai Jaana Khereyan De Naal, Chan Mere Makhna, and Chitta Kukkad. This was revealed at a special press meet at Rizvi’s residence in Karachi. Also dubbed a “road trip song,” the track features Indian YouTube sensation Siddharth Slathia. The video is directed by Rizvi herself, and produced by her brother, Hasan Rizvi.

Speaking to the media, a jubilant Rizvi said that she wanted to release the song on the eve of the Independence Day of both India and Pakistan “to promote peace between the two neighbouring countries.”

Slathia, who could not attend the event, spoke live on Skype from his hometown in India. He thanked Rizvi for making him a part of the song, before he took questions from the media.

Later, Rizvi performed the song live for the audience.
