Border exit stamp essential to prove visitor left the UAE

Last updated:

A reader in Dubai asks: We arranged a visit visa for my brother who visited us from Kenya via Oman. We drove to the Al Ain border and had his passport stamped with entry to the UAE. Unfortunately, while returning we lost our way and went to the exit that does not give an exit stamp. Now, the company is being held responsible. He stayed in the UAE for one day. We brought proof to show that he flew back to Kenya with an exit stamp from Seeb Airport and that he had arrived to Nairobi airport but to no avail. Please advise.

I would like to advise the questioner to submit evidence to the Department of Naturalisation and Residence that his brother has left the UAE, even if he is required to send his brother's passport for submission to the Department of Naturalisation and Residence. Having acknowledged the situation by the said department, perhaps the sponsor shall pay a fine of one-day delay in addition to charges of departure.
