Residency section to unveil services

Dubai: Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD) is set to unveil a number of new electronic services and technologies at the Gitex 2008 exhibition with the aim of offering improved customer care.

The exhibition will be held from October 19 to 23 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"DNRD aims to create better public awareness about our new e-services," said Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director General of DNRD.

"We will also hold a number of lectures to explain the benefits of the new services and try and answer queries from the public. We will also announce a number of competitions, such as one for best website design, to encourage students of different nationalities to hone their abilities through healthy competition," said Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Nasser Al Razooqi, assistant general director-in-charge of IT at DNRD.
