Growing rush in Sharjah
Sharjah: Several amnesty seekers got papers processed at the Sharjah Naturalisation and Residency Department (SNRD) yesterday. Some 23,503 illegal workers have benefitted from the amnesty in Sharjah.
According to SNRD statistics, 3,326 illegal workers settled their status, 8,068 illegal workers have obtained out-passes and are ready to fly back home and the applications of some 12,109 illegal workers are still being processed.
Lt Colonel Abdullah Ali Bin Saho, SNRD Director, called on illegal workers to benefit from the amnesty and not to miss what he described as 'a golden opportunity'.
